Course History

Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course

The Public 18-Hole golf course; Sheaffer Memorial Golf Park designed by W.D Wagstaff, opened its doors for the first time in 1962. The old country style two-story brick building was the original clubhouse, and the beginning of what has now become a staple in the Southeast Iowa Golf Community. The original clubhouse was torn down in 1998 for the vision of what the Sheaffer Golf Course could be. In 1999 the new and current beautiful A-Frame clubhouse opened its doors, hosting its full-size industrial kitchen, seating up to 150 people with a panoramic scenic view of its course.
